Other St George events

These events are not part of the festival but we’re pleased to provide information on other local initiatives to celebrate St George’s Day.

 

Choral Evensong & Cream Tea, Sunday 20 April, 3pm, St Christopher’s parish church, Tatum Street, SE17 1QR

Morris dancing around Borough Market, Wednesday 23 April, local group New Esperance Morris with Hammersmith Morris Men, Old Palace Clog & London Pride. Starting at Southwark Cathedral c 6pm then to The Old Thameside Inn, The Globe Tavern and The Brew Wharf. All sides will dance at each pub with 1 side visiting the Cathedral in turn. We expect to be all at The Brew Wharf by around 9pm. 

Sung Mass for St George’s day, Wednesday 23 April, 6pm, St Christopher’s parish church, Tatum Street, SE17 1QR

Turning the Tables: Tales of Heroes and Tricksters, Wednesday 23 April at The Leather Exchange, Leathermarket Street. 8pm

St George’s Day event for Bermondsey & Rotherhithe, Saturday 26 April at Ilderton Primary School SE16. 12.30pm-4pm; free
