There is also, most engagingly, the annual “Great Dragon Huntâ€, which takes participants all over Venice – and across the Grand Canal in a gondola – in search of paintings and reliefs of St George and the dragon. Success is rewarded with a “fine Venetian certificate recording your achievementâ€.
